RemediesSmart Infocomm’s entire liability and your exclusive remedy for breach of any warranty shall be, at Smart Infocomm’s option, to repair or replace the hardware, with new hardware or parts or serviceable parts available with Smart Infocomm or its authorized service centers or agents. The hardware or any part thereof so replaced shall become the property of Smart Infocomm and the purchaser shall not have any right whatsoever on such replaced hardware or part thereof.
Smart Infocomm may, at its option, use new or refurbished or used parts in good working condition to repair or replace any hardware product. Any replacement hardware product will be warranted for the unexpired period of the original warranty period. More ever, the time taken for repair/replacement and in transit whether under the warranty or otherwise shall not be excluded from the warranty period.
Repair or replacement will be carried out through the company’s service centre or its authorized service centre’s. The list for the same can be made available from any company’s offices or its website www.smartinfocomm.com.
Software related faults resulting from incorrect installation of software (expect where the software is installed by smartinfocomm), the failure of the product to perform any purpose other than its intended purpose and viruses or bugs shall not be considered as product faults.
Repairs during warranty period shall be done on “carry in” basis. For any service purchaser shall bring the product to the service centre; the warranty does not cover cost of transportation of product from the place of installation or to the service centre and vice versa. In the event of any service availed on chargeable basis, the charges for the same has to be paid at the service centre.
If smart Infocomm is not able to repair/replace the product during the warranty period, it may offer an alternative product. The decision of smart Infocomm shall by final.
If a problem develops during the warranty period, smart Infocomm requires the original proof of purchase (an itemized dated receipt) to be eligible for warranty service. It should be retained for the duration of warranty period. Warranty service is only applicable if the product was purchased by you from an authorized smart Infocomm retailer, and will not be provided for any product that has not been purchased as new or was obtainer as a result of the purchase of non – smart Infocomm product. All product contents and packing should be also retained in case you need to return your product for warranty service.
Company shall make every effort to carry out the repairs and return the equipment within 3 working days of receipt of the same. However the company shall not be liable for any delay under circumstances beyond its control.
Each product must accompany a report indication the nature of defect, in case the material is sent by a dealer/ distributor, C& F agent and smart Infocomm branch. Please ensure to securely pack the product in a box using bubble wrap foam.
Parties are requested to send appropriate statutory papers like waybills; statutory forms etc along with defective equipment. Company would not be liable for any delay arising in the replacement due to non availability of these documents.
ExclusionsThis warranty does not cover problems or damage resulting from accident, abuse, misapplication, or any unauthorized repair, modification or disassembly
Improper operation or maintenance, usage not in accordance with product instructions or connection to improper voltage supply
Use of consumables, such as replacement batteries, not supplied by Smart Infocomm except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law
Damage in Transit caused due to improper packing.
Repair or attempted repair by any person not authorized by smart Infocomm.
Use of spares not meeting smart Infocomm specification.
Any other causes which does not relate to product defect,
Use the product in an improper or in appropriate operating environment
• The warranty seal of the product being removed or defaced.
• Any defects occurring after the expiration of the warranty period.
• Damage from external caused such as floods, storms, fires, sand dirt, earth quakes, an act of god, exposure to sunlight, weather, moisture, heat or corrosive environments, electrical surges, battery leakage, theft, or damage caused by the connection to other products not recommended for interconnection by smart Infocomm.
